Petal Palette Thank You

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday was such a beautiful day!
Finally got some brilliant sunshine which really perked up the green grass!
The sunshine was much welcomed!

I wanted to get to my stamp table and finish up a few projects yesterday.
I was inspired by all the beautiful cards I have been seeing around because when I first seen the stamp set I was not at all interested in getting it.
Well, after seeing many cards...I caved and ordered the set.
This is my first creation with it...

I needed a Thank You card for my wonderful customer, Audrey!
Yesterday she brought us a dozen of fasnachts! She helps out at her church each year during lent and she knows how much we love those donuts! They are the best donut ever!
So, to thank her I wanted to make her something special.

Card Details:

Stamps: Petal Palette
Ink: Memento Black, Basic Black Archival, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Accessories: Petals & More Thinlit Dies, Petal Pairs Embossing Folders, Daffodil Delight 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Glue Dots, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was having a great time playing with this stamp set! So glad I got it!!

Tranquil Tulips

Hello & Happy Monday!

It's still dreary and cloudy here this morning.
Hopefully soon the sun will shine again!

Today I have a set of cards to share that I made up for Easter.
I really needed something bright & pretty after all this rain and this is what I created.

I'm so ready for spring even though they say winter is going to come back in the next week or so.
I really hope not! Nothing says "spring" like a pretty pack of tulip cards, right?

Card Set Details:

Stamps: Tranquil Tulips, You're Inspiring (sentiment)
Ink: Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Delightful Daisy DSP
Accessories: Old Olive Ribbon, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

On the bright side....I did see that we return to Daylight Savings Time on March 11, 2018!
I'm looking forward to longer days of sunlight...if the sun ever returns!

Some sunshine might make a huge difference!

Waterfront HB Card #2

Good Morning & Happy Saturday!

I know I am sounding like a broken record again today but guess what??
It's another rainy, dreary and VERY foggy morning here!
Last evening we made a quick trip to southern Lancaster County and it took us double the time to get there and back with it being so foggy. Could barely see a foot in front of us and then with it raining, it was tough keeping an eye out for the horse & buggies!
I was very relieved to get back home and off the road!

Today we are headed to Baltimore to IKEA!
Sadly, I am not looking to buy anything for myself or my craft room.
This trip is for Ryan. He ordered some stuff and we are just picking it up for him.
Later our car goes in to Toyota for an oil change and then we are going out to supper at one of our favorite places!

Today I have my 2nd card that was made for the 2 priests.
These were difficult to make but with the help of the comments I received, I just decided to make another card with the Waterfront stamp set. It gives a nice peaceful feeling and that is what I was going for.

This one used no DSP and I went with an embossing folder from Tim Holtz.
I kept everything in neutral colors.

Card Details:

Stamps: Waterfront, You're Inspiring (sentiment)
Ink: Marina Mist, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Always Artichoke
Cardstock: Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Accessories: Tim Holtz EF, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Square Layering Framelits, Always Artichoke Ribbon, Glue Dots, 2 Sided Tape

I have loved using this new stamp set.
I cannot wait to use it for a beachy type card once summer gets here but I am not rushing it!

Waterfront HB

Good Morning & Happy Friday!

Yep, it's another rainy, dreary morning here in south central PA.
It's a great day if your a duck!
Actually I will take the rain over snow any day and our temps are above freezing!

So, today I have a card to share that was made for my customer.
She asked for 2 Birthday cards for her priests.
Oh BOY....I am struggling with this one!
My one friend suggested something with this Waterfront set and since my set has not yet seen ink, here goes my first try with it!

My thought for this was something peaceful & tranquil for a priest.
What do you think?
If anyone has any suggestions please drop me a comment. I still have one more to make and not sure if I should make another go at a card like this or something different.
Comments welcomed!

Card Details:

Stamps: Waterfront, Guy Greetings
Ink: Tranquil Tide, Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Tranquil Tide, True Gentlemen DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Square Layering Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Decorative Dots EF (retired), Night of Navy Enamel Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This was my first time using this set.
It took a few trial & errors to get it right and I love the final outcome!
The Waterfront stamp set is a million dollar achiever stamp set that was created by Connie Heisey.

Happy Retirement

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday our weather was gorgeous!
I had the windows open to air the house out and it was just SO welcomed!
I know it's still winter but we've had a harsh winter and I think most people are ready for Spring at this point....me included! I got alot done yesterday...even decorated for St Patrick's Day!

Today I plan on trying to squeeze in some stamp time and getting some Easter treats made but before I head downstairs I wanted to share a card I made for someone who was retiring. I've seen many cards like this one so it is sort of a case of many others.

Isn't that adirondack chair so cool?
It is from the Seasonal Layers Thinlit Dies and I diecut it using the Textured Wood DSP.
I also used a strip of the wood logs (from the same paper pack) on the left hand side of my card base to tie it all together. Then to complete it I added some Linen Thread and my sentiment.

Card Details:

Stamps: Wild About Flowers (sentiment)
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Wood Textures DSP
Accessories: Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

We are in for another nice day today and then tomorrow we are back to our normal seasonal temps with rain. I guess that's better than snow, right?!

High Hopes Bunny

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope your having a great week so far!

I've got a cute Easter card to share today!

One day a few weeks ago I sat and was playing around with some Easter images that I have in a box from years ago. I'm not exactly sure who the maker of this bunny is but my notes on the back of it say High Hopes. I pulled this out and colored several images then went to work to create a quick & simple card with it.

It's not often that I get to create much for myself. Most days I am working on card orders but on this certain day I was having a fun day for myself! I like this style of card, which reminds me of a postcard type because of the flat card base.

Card Details:

Stamps: High Hopes Bunny, You're Inspiring (sentiment)
Ink: Melon Mambo, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Gingham Garden DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Square Layering Framelits, Darice Basket Weave EF, Melon Mambo 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Banner Punch, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

That bunny & these springtime colors just makes me smile!!!!

Happy Birthday Butterfly Set

Good Morning & Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend!
They seem to go by rather quickly and before ya know it....it's Monday!
It's looking like a dreary, wet Monday here in PA and that's fine with me as long as it's not snow.
I really could use a week of warm temps and lots of sunshine though!!

Today I have a pretty set of cards to share....almost reminds me of spring!

My customer asked for a pack of cards with butterflies on. I know I could have used the new butterfly in the Beautiful Day set but it was a bit to big for that panel so I opted to use a butterfly die from the Butterflies Thinlits. My DSP comes from the SaleABration Catalog 2018. I love the colors and prints in this pack of paper!

Card Set Details:

Stamps: Beautiful Day (sentiment)
Ink: Bermuda Bay
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Bubbles & Fizz DSP
Accessories: Butterflies Thinlits, Small Rhinestones, Lemon Lime Twist Striped Ribbon, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I LOVE making Z Fold style cards!
Do you have a certain style of card that you enjoy making?

Heartfelt Blooms

Hello & Happy "snowy" Sunday!

Hope your all having a nice weekend!
We had some snow yesterday and thankfully this morning it is warming up and melting!
We had just got home from being out & about and the flurries started but boy did it ever come down after a bit! Almost reminded me of snow squalls! We may have had 3-4 inches if that. Not much but enough to make a mess and I think this week we have some warm temps coming so it's not going to last long!

Today I have a set of Thank You cards to share. I made a pack last month for a customer order and she requested another set. These are almost the same as the last pack but changed up a bit since I did not have enough DSP to make them the same.

These are pretty & simple to whip up and flat for easy mailing!

Card Set Details:

Stamps: Heartfelt Blooms SAB 18
Ink: Berry Burst
Cardstock: Berry Burst, Whisper White, Color Theory DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Silver Metallic Enamel Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Going to be a busy morning as hubby & I have some errands to run this morning before the winter weather arrives later today. Blah....i'm still hoping it doesn't happen!

Anyways, today I have a quick Happy Birthday card to share.

I used some scraps of DSP from the Tutti Frutti Paper Pad.
I wasn't really keen on it when I first saw it but I have come to love the prints and patterns in it!

Cute isn't it?
I love the strawberry paper!

Card Details:

Stamps: Perennial Birthday
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Tutti Frutti DSP

With Heartfelt Sympathy

Hello & Happy Friday!

The weekend is here!
Last night we had some pretty heavy rains come thru and yesterday our high temp hit 68 degrees!
I even slept with the bedroom window open last night because the house was kinda stuffy.
Today we still have rain and it's dreary & foggy out. Tomorrow they are calling for...2-5 inches of snow. Blah! Winter, I am SO over you! I noticed yesterday that my daffodils are popping up and that only means one thing....Spring is coming!

Today I have a set of cards made for my customer.
She told me a story about a family who recently lost their mother and now the youngest son passed away from cancer at age 45. I delivered her order to her last evening and she told me who the cards are for and I was sad to learn it was a longtime family of my hometown. The parents are now gone and there are a number of children. The siblings that are living yet are all girls so she wanted a card geared towards a man. This is what I made her...

I stamped my trees in Soft Suede because I wanted them to be a soft color and nothing bold.
And since I wanted something simple so I went back to my old days of when we first learned about tearing. It gives a different look and texture to a card. I did not add any ribbon, twine or bows. Just my sentiment and left them at that.

Card Details:

Stamps: Lovely As A Tree, Simply Sketched (retired)
Ink: Soft Suede
Cardstock: Thick Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Soft Suede Patterned DSP (retired), Very Vanilla
Accessories: Large Oval & Scallop Oval Punches, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Such a sad occasions to make a card for but I really cannot help liking these alot!
