Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello & Happy Friday!

Hope everyone is doing well.
I took some time off from blogging and stamping since my mojo seems to have gone on vacation without me! I hate when that happens and now I hope I am back on the road to being creative again....we shall see!

I played along with this week's sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.
Here is the sketch and my card...

Such a fun card to create but boy, was I ever rusty trying to get back to stamping! I threw quite a few pieces of cardstock in the trash because I couldn't get something to line up correctly or because I smeared the ink. It's always tough for me starting back up after an absence and that's frustrating but I got thru it! Is anyone else this way?

For A Special Couple Card:

Stamps: Special Celebrations
Ink: Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Pop of Pink Specialty DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Banner Punch (retired), Melon Mambo Satin Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Hope you can stop by the Tuesday Morning Sketches and play along!

My thoughts today....

Here in south central PA they are calling for it to be very muggy with rain. We are under a Flood Watch since they are calling for possibly 3 or more inches of rain today into Saturday.
Hope you all stay safe!

That is all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a great day!

For My Friend...

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Up and at it early this morning as the doggies are going to doggie day spa for their 6 week bath & haircuts! While they are there I am going to pop out & run some errands then the guys will get haircuts this afternoon. No doubt I will need a nap later! LOL
We had some pretty good storms last evening. Poor Gigi shook like a leaf as the thunder was loud and shook the house. During the night our power went off. Thankfully it wasn't no more than 5-10 minutes and it came back on. As hot & humid as it's been none of us would have gotten any sleep with no ac or fans running.

So before my day gets away from me I wanted to share another card I made and sent out this week.
Again I used the lovely Tranquil Tulips set.
Take a look...

I used the new In Color, Berry Burst, for my tulips. Aren't they pretty?

For My Friend Card:

Stamps: Tranquil Tulips, Special Celebrations
Ink: Berry Burst, Old Olive, Basic Black
Cardstock: Berry Burst, Old Olive, Whisper White
Accessories: Berry Burst Ribbon, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These colors look amazing together!
I hope this card will brighten someones day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello & Happy Friday!

Quite the stormy day here in south central PA but finally we are getting some rain!
It's been awfully hot & humid here and it seemed every chance for rain this week we've missed out on while surrounding areas got dumped on. I guess today it is our turn!
You know the saying...all good things come to those who wait!

Today I finally got my act together and played along with the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge. It is one of my favorite challenges!

Here is the sketch and my card.

It is also Christmas in July and my very first holiday card of the year!

I used lots of retired things on this card but it's stuff I just adore so I will continue to use them!
This wreath is one of my absolute favorites to use at almost anytime of the year. My sentiment comes from the same set.

Christmas in July Card:

Stamps: Wonderous Wreath
Ink: Emerald Envy, Real Red
Cardstock: Emerald Envy, Real Red, Whisper White, 2016-2018 In Color DSP 12 X 12 Stack (retired)
Accessories: Real Red Satin Ribbon, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I hope you will stop by the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog and play along with them this week!
It will help you get a jump start on your holiday cards!

Tranquil Tulips for A Friend

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Another steam bath here today so again I am hibernating inside stamping the afternoon away!
I pulled out my Tranquil Tulips stamp set that I got recently. I've seen so many cards using this set that were just gorgeous! Now I am trying my hand at making a pretty card with it!

This card was SO much fun to make! I am just loving the look the embossing paste gives a card! The texture is awesome and it dries pretty quickly! Love, love, love!

Tranquil Tulips Card:

Stamps: Tranquil Tulips, Special Celebrations
Ink: Pool Party, Old Olive, Basic Black
Cardstock: Pool Party, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories: Pattern Party Decorative Masks, Embossing Paste, Pool Party Satin Ribbon, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Sending Love & Hugs

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope everyone is doing well.
It has been hot & very humid here so I have been hibernating inside in the ac.
I haven't had any interest in going down to stamp the last few days and today I went down to empty trash cans and decided to stay and do some stamping!
I love the outcome of this card!

I pulled out my Pattern Party Decorative Masks and used the brick wall mask again but this time I used an ink pad and a sponge to apply the ink on my cardstock and it was fun working to get a lighter/darker shade in different areas of the cardstock and it was quick to sponge some ink on! Love that there are more choices for those decorative masks!

Sending Love & Hugs Card:

Stamps: Wild About Flowers, Ribbon of Courage
Ink: Smoky Slate, Pear Pizzazz, Calypso Coral
Cardstock: Calypso Coral, Smoky Slate, Whisper White
Accessories: Pattern Party Decorative Masks, Sponge, Circle Punch. Calypso Coral Umbre Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I made this card to send to a friend. Hope it makes her smile!

I am hoping to get the bikes out later for a quick spin to take advantage of the nice weather!

Today I have a card to share that I made for fun!
I finally was able to break in my Bike Ride Bundle from Stampin Up!
I was so happy to see this set in the new catalog!
I made this card to look like my new bike.
Take a look....

This was pretty fun to put together and the Framelits cut it all out so nicely!
Here is a picture of my bike.

HB Bike Card:

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Yesterday I had a chance to play along with this week's sketch from over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.
Here is the sketch and my card....

I thought all week about what I wanted to use for the 3 little flower images in the sketch.
I went thru a bunch of new Framelits and decided to use the pretty diecut flower from the Support Ribbon Framelits that goes with the Ribbon of Courage stamp set from Stampin Up. That little flower is one of the reasons I wanted this set of Framelits! It cuts so nicely!
I used some Clear Faceted Gems for the flower centers and my sentiment comes from the Pocketfull of Sunshine stamp set.
I kept everything monochromatic since I wanted to use this particular sheet of dsp from the Whole Lot of Lovely DSP Pack. This card looks so much better in real life than what my photo picked up. Those gems just sparkle so beautifully!
My center flower is popped up.

Hope you like!

Coffee Cafe Cup Carrier

Hello & Happy Friday!

Today I have a treat to share that I whipped up with the Coffee Cafe bundle.
You know I love making the Coffee Cup Carriers!

This bundle is one of the best that I have seen with several different coffee stamps, the dies that cut them out and the beautiful patterned paper! Since I am a coffee drinker, this set was worth every cent to me!
While at Walmart last weekend I found these Werther's Original Caramel Coffee Candies, perfect to fill my small coffee cup with. I have to say that these candies are addicting, too! YUM!

My tag was created with the Wide Oval Punch that I used to punch the handle out. I diecut a small coffee cup from a sheet of the Coffee Break DSP Pack and added it to my tag. The sentiment came from the Pocketfull of Sunshine stamp set. I added a small clear rhinestone to the heart on the small coffee cup. The tag was added to the holder with a Gold Clip. My bow is Pear Pizzazz Shimmer Ribbon that I added with a glue dot to my clip.

Such a fun set!
I just wanna sit and make lots more of these!!

To My Main Squeeze

Hello & Happy Thursday!

A bit of a rainy day here but still very humid.
I tried turning my ac off but that did not last long.

I made my way down to my stamp table today.
I was excited to play with the new Embossing Paste that SU has in the catty this year!
Here is what I made...

All I will say is.....SO MUCH FUN and it adds so much to a card!
I was expecting it to be messy to use but not at all!
It dried maybe within 10 -15 minutes but make sure you clean the knives and mask as soon as possible because it will dry on them, quickly!

Lemon Zest Card:

Stamps: Lemon Zest
Ink: Lemon Lime Twist, Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black
Cardstock: Lemon Lime Twist, Whisper White
Accessories: Pattern Party Decorative Masks, Embossing Paste, Knives, Lemon Punch, Circle Punch, Basic Black Twine, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Can't wait to play with the rest of the masks in that pack!
So cool!!

Grandma to Be Card

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope everyone had a nice July 4th Holiday?!

It was hot & very humid most of the weekend and so we sorta hibernated.
Monday night was when they did fireworks here. My Gigi definitely does not like them. She was acting odd all day. Did not eat much and followed me around everywhere I went. The fireworks were so loud, our house shook. She was fine yesterday but I sure wish they'd make them without the loud booms!

Today life is back to normal around here. Shawn heads back to work after his 4 day weekend. It's funny because here we are halfway thru the week already!

I have a card to share today made for a grandma to congratulate her on the birth of her grandson!

I looked high & low to find something for a "Grandma to Be" and found absolutely nothing then I turned to Pinterest and found this clipart image. It was perfect for what I needed!! It was also fun using up the last bit of Bliss Blue & Bashful Blue cardstocks that I have. Bliss Blue was a favorite of mine. I believe it's been retired for atleast 10 years or so now.

Congratulations Card:

Stamps: none, image was computer generated
Ink: none
Cardstock: Bliss Blue, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Accessories: Lucky Stars EF, Blue Circle Clip, Blue Rhinestones, Bashful Blue Grosgrain Ribbon, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This card actually came together fairly quickly once I found & printed the image.
It's really cute don't ya think?
