Sympathy Card for a Friend

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today is the last day of March.

I recently needed a Sympathy card for a friend.
I had a card in my favorites for quite awhile that my friend, LeAnne Pugliese had created. She makes the nicest cards! I cased her card with some changes.

Smoky Slate is a hard color to capture with the camera but I love it's soft color!
My background panel is embossed with the Fluttering EF. It's a 6X6 size so it covers alot of area!
I made a tag out of my main focus panel using the Ornate Tag Topper Punch (love that thing!). My butterflies are from the Papillion Potpourri set that I stamped in Smoky Slate and the sentiment is done in Basic Gray. I added a few rhinestones for interest and a Daffodil Delight Stitched Ribbon tied on with a piece of White Baker's Twine. The tag was attached with Tombow Liquid so my card was flat for mailing.

Thank you, LeAnne for your inspiration!

Sympathy Card:

Stamps: Papillion Potpourri, Perfect Pairs (sentiment)
Ink: Smoky Slate, Basic Gray
Cardstock: Smoky Slate, Whisper White, All Is Calm DSP (retired)
Accessories:Fluttering EF, Ornate Tag Topper, Daffodil Delight Stitched Ribbon, White Baker's Twine, Rhinestones, Tombow Liquid

That's it for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice Easter weekend!

Today over at Merry Monday we have a new challenge for you!
Bonnie is our hostess this week so let's get to it!

This was a bit of a challenge for me but after looking thru a few different stamp sets I found this sentiment and immediately decided to use it. I used a Papertreyink holly die and an embossing folder from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) that has holly leaves on. Just a simple card and one that will be flat for mailing.

Stamps: Christmas Messages
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Whisper White
Accessories: The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) Holly Embossing Folder, PTI Holly Die, Gold Cord, Tombow Liquid Glue

Well, I wanted to let everyone know that this week is my last week as a designer for the Merry Monday Challenge. I have come to the decision to step down about a month ago due to some life changes. My hubby will be having surgery in a few weeks in which my time will be busy in caring for him plus I just feel it's time. I have enjoyed my time with this group of ladies over the last few years and value the friendships I have made with them. Lesley, thank you for this opportunity! I have enjoyed it very much! This isn't goodbye as i'm sure when time allows I will join in & play along because I will need Christmas cards too! So, I hope to see you around in blogland in the future!

That's all I have for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Happy Easter!!

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Today is a busy day here at the Aungst Pad as we are preparing Easter Dinner!
The weather is looking to be so so but i'm looking forward to a fun day then after dinner we are going for a hike unless the clouds and rain come before. Surprisingly, my back has been handling our hikes pretty good. The steep hills really pull on it but nothing too bad. It also might be an indication that my injections are wearing off. Time will tell but in the meantime I am enjoying the outdoors with my one & only!!!

Anyways, today I have more Easter treats I whipped up for my Easter table. I'm sure everyone will love these because I put there favorite candy in them...,Kit Kat Bars and Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs!

I just cannot get enough of this adorable bunny! He is just the cutest thing EVER!
I used the Mini Treat Bag Framelits for these bags with patterned paper from Hobby Lobby that I picked up around Christmas time. The "Happy Easter" is from the Circle of Spring stamp set. I cannot wait to play with that set a bit more too!

Easter Mini Treat Bags:

Stamps: Circle of Spring (sentiment), Friends & Flowers (bunny)
Ink: Lavender Lace, Marina Mist, Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Patterned Paper from Hobby Lobby, Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, Lavender Lace, Marina Mist
Accessories: Circle Punches, Mini Treat Bag Framelits & Accessories, Festive Flower Punch, Ribbon, Bow Tie Clips, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid Glue

That's all I have for today!
I'd like to wish you all a very happy & blessed Easter with your loved ones! Enjoy your day!

Thanks for stopping by & I will be back tomorrow with another challenge for Merry Monday and I will be sharing some news. Stay tuned!!

I promise I will soon have some other things to share.

I have SO much of this Sweet Sorbet DSP left from a few years back that I am trying to use up! I have a huge box full of paper from over the years but I doubt I will ever use it all.

I whipped up a few more notepads just to have on hand. I love making these or any kind of covered notepad/tablet! I get orders for these quite a bit so I like when I have a bunch made up ahead of time.

I've been trying to use up old packs of retired DSP and I found this pack and the bright springy prints jumped out at me. I added my sentiment and again that beautiful butterfly diecut! It's very small & dainty, just perfect on these notepads!

Merry Monday Challenge 197

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
I am still dealing with a head cold so I stayed inside watching movies with my hubby this weekend. Our weather was very cold with snow showers. What a way to welcome spring!!

Today we have a new challenge for you over at Merry Monday!
It's my turn to be the hostess so let's get to it!

This is actually the 2nd card I created for my challenge, The first one I used an embossing folder with a church on but I could not get a very good picture of it so I moved on to making another card. I have grown fond of the Mossy Meadow color so I used that for this card. My church is from a retired stamp set called Silent Night and it was just perfect for this challenge. It stamps such a crisp clear image! My sentiment comes from a retired set as well called Four The Holidays. I put my panel at the lower right hand corner of my card so I could use some Mossy Meadow Thick Twine in the left hand corner. I added 2 white pearls at the sentiment for interest and called it done.

I hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to see all the wonderful cards my team mates created this week! Those ladies are amazing!

Merry Monday Challenge 197 Card:

Stamps: Silent Night, Four The Holidays

Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Whisper White

Blessed Easter

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I am under the weather today.
Woke up with a sore throat and just feeling drained so I hope this is short lived as I have a list a mile long to get too! Ughh, sore throats are the absolute worst!

I have a quick card to share today then i'm going to go nap a bit.
My card is made with the Blessed Easter stamp.

I colored my tulips with the Wisteria Wonder Blendabilities. I only ever got 2 sets of them and never had any problems with them. I'm not really keen on the Wisteria Wonder color....it's really an odd purple but since I was thinking spring flowers, I thought i'd give it a try!

Cardstock: Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White

Coffee Cup Carrier for Easter

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Another dreary day on tap here in PA. It's been raining off & on since Sunday.
It's hard to get motivated to do housework when the sun isn't shining!

Today I want to share a cool treat idea that I learned how to make from Lisa Curcio. Here is the link to her blog: Lisa's Stamp Studio

I still had a few of those small coffee cups left and decided to give this cup carrier a try!
They are quite fun! I may just order more of these little cups to make these up in the future!

I used up some retired DSP as well as a retired sentiment but that butterfly just makes this carrier!
My coffee cups are filled with Hershey Kisses. I don't remember off hand where I purchased the coffee cups. It was a few years ago. I will have to look into that to get more!

Coffee Cup Carrier:

Stamps: Well Scripted (retired)
Ink: Basic Black Archival

Easter Lamb Candy Bags

Hello & Happy Sunday!

A quick post then hubby & I are headed out to take a walk before the rain starts today! It's already on our doorstep so I have a feeling we are going to get a bit wet!

I had a chance to go to the Spring Craft Show yesterday afternoon. It was so nice! I picked up a spring basket and some cute Easter ornaments that I will try to share a picture this week.

Today I am sharing these cute candy bag treats that I made a tag for with the Easter Lamb stamp. That lamb is just too cute!!

I filled up a Medium Cello Bag with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Hershey Kisses and a few Hershey's Miniature Candy Bars. Tied the bag shut with some White Baker's Twine and added my tags. This little lamb is quick to color and just so sweet! I made a version of this for the Spring Craft Show with some cello bags that SU carried a few years ago called Twisty Treat Bags but I added a Daffodil Delight tag & ribbon to them. Unfortunately, I did not get a photo of them but they sure were cute!!!

Cardstock: Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz

Happiest of Birthdays

Hello & Happy Friday!

So happy the weekend is here!

Today starts the Spring Craft Show, i'm SO excited about that! There are so many cute & springy things for sale at the show...I was just in awe of all the neat things! I hope to go shop before it's over.

Today I want to share a birthday card I made with the very pretty paper from the Birthday Bouquet DSP paper pack! The colors and prints are so pretty....I may have to order another pack before the mini catalog retires!

I think after the last few days of beautiful, warm temps that everyone has spring fever but we are still in winter till the 20th. I heard that we may have some cold weather coming back into play at the end of next week. Boo!

I took full advantage of the nice weather the last few days. I cleaned out all the leaves from my flower beds and raked them up. I even noticed that the grass is getting greener! The flowers are popping up too so I know spring will be here soon!
