Rose Red Purse

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Heading out shortly to run some errands and pick up a few groceries but before I go I wanted to share the last of the purse bags that I made. Not sure if I will make anymore or not but they are so fun and I have been on a roll with them!

I used the Painted Blooms DSP for this set and the flower from the Crazy About You stamp set ( from the Occasions Mini). I thought about using the Painted Blooms stamp set with matching flowers but I was looking for something quick & easy so I used the flower that I stamped in Rose Red and punched it out with the Flower Medallion Punch. Added rhinestones to the center of the flower and attached it to the purse with a dimensional. My cardstock on the purse is Rose Red and punched with the retired Eyelet Border Punch. The Painted Blooms DSP is so pretty! I may have to order another pack before it goes away!

Have any of you tried to make one of these purses? If so, I'd love to see pictures! It always makes my day when some of my followers create things and then share their pictures with me!!

Well, that's all I have for today!
I will be back tomorrow with my card for the Merry Monday Challenge where I am the hostess!
Maybe you'll play along with us and get those Christmas cards made! Stop by tomorrow and check it out!

Thanks for stopping by & have a super Sunday!

A Different Kind of Card Day

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Today we are having a Wii Day at our house with just my Mom & Dad, Shawn, Ryan & myself. We got together and made some dishes for supper, ate and now we are playing Wii Bowling! Always a fun time!

Anyways, I am taking a few minutes here to share a card I made real quick this afternoon before my company arrived. I found a tutorial on Pinterest and made my own!  These are called Screen Divider Cards and so fun to make!

The directions are also over on Splitcoaststampers in the tutorial section if interested in making this type of card.

I finally used my Butterfly Basics stamp set with coordinating thinlits and just love it! I have had this set since maybe February and finally inked it up! Such a fun stamp set with nice sentiments!

Hope you like my card today!

Screen Divider Card:

Stamps: Butterfly Basics
Ink: Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, Pink Pirouette, Smokey Slate, Memento Black

Coastal Cabana Purse

Hello & Happy Friday!

Quick post today then I need to go get ready for my doctor appointment this afternoon! Hubby is only working a half day today and after the week he had at work...I know he's glad to add half a day to his weekend!

So, the other day I shared my purse and everything I made to put in it. Well, I made more!
They are kinda addicting once you get the first one made!

I know my pictures aren't the best but I tried to lighten them as much as I could with Picasa without washing them out. This purse is a real beauty in real life as I just love the Coastal Cabana color and this pretty paper! Again, I made the Tissue Box Holder, Post It Note Holder, RSVP Pen and 6 A2 size cards for in it.

I used my very loved stamp set, Mixed Bunch. I'm sad that it's retiring at the end of this catty but I will keep on using my set and coordinating Blossom Punch. I used flower stamps that have the coordinating punches to keep things quick & simple. All the cards are mail friendly and very flat so the recipient will not have to use extra postage.

Coastal Cabana Purse:

Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Sentiments from Wetlands
Ink: Coastal Cabana, Memento Black
Cardstock: Coastal Cabana, Best Year Ever DSP (from SAB 2015)
Accessories: SU Eyelet Border Punch (retired), Blossom Punch, Vintage Faceted Buttons, Coastal Cabana Baker's Twine, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid Multi Purpose Glue

If you want the directions on how to make these they are listed at the bottom of this post
Hope you have enjoyed my purses! I think there will be more to come!

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Wedding Cards

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Spent much of the day in my craft room today. I only came out to cook supper and let the doggies out to potty! LOL It was a really cold day here in PA. We have a freeze warning in effect for tonight & tomorrow night with temps around 32 degrees. We'll be lucky to get out of the low 50's the next few days.

So, today I used the wedding set from the Occasions Mini called For the New Two. My card rack needs some wedding cards so since the set was already out on my table, time to get it inky!

Wedding Card 1:

Stamps: For the New Two
Ink: Versamark, Silver Embossing Powder, Pink Pirouette SU Marker
Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Something Borrowed DSP
Accessories: Pink Pirouette Ribbon, Metal Flower Button (from the Artisan Embellishment Kit), Glue Dots, Heart & Scallop Heart Nestibilities, Heat Gun, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Wedding Card 2:

Stamps: For The New Two
Ink: Versamark, Silver Embossing Powder
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Something Borrowed DSP
Accessories: Oval Nestibilities, White Jute Ribbon, White Organza Ribbon, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

I really like that Something Borrowed DSP!. Goes beautifully with this stamp set!

Well, that's all I have for today!
Tomorrow I head back to see my Pain Management Doctor in the afternoon. Unfortunately, my Sciatic pain has returned a few weeks ago so I need to get it taken care of.
Keep your fingers crossed!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Mother's Day Gift

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

This past weekend I spent some time at the stamp table making an adorable gift for my Mom for Mother's Day this year. The latest craze are the purses filled with cards. I have seen them all over Pinterest & Facebook and I eventually got sucked into making one for myself. I will put a link at the end for you to go and see how to make these for yourself.

Here we go!

Purse with 6- A2 size cards with matching envelopes, Tissue Box, Post It Note & RSVP Pen.

Stamps: Bloom for You, Sassy Salutations
Ink: Calypso Coral
Cardstock: Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Gold Soiree DSP
Accessories: MS Doily Border Punch, Fun Flower Punch, Gold Buttons, Crisp Cantaloupe Baker's Twine, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Stamp A Ma Jig, Tombow Liquid Multi Mono, 2 Sided Tape

Here is the link to making these purses.
I did make some changes and I did not cut up the DSP the way it is in the tutorial.
I did use the 2 - 4 X 8 pieces of DSP and cut the rest up the way I needed it.

I think my Mom is going to love this purse filled with goodies! I will add a gift card to it yet to complete her Mother's Day gift. I can see I will be making a bunch more of these! So fun!

Well, that's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

This week's colors:

Wild Wasabi, Pink Pirouette & Sahara Sand

These colors gave me a chance to break open a pack of DSP called Something Borrowed.

I used "For the Two New" stamp set. This particular image I had to use SU Markers to color it. I added a Vintage Faceted Button with Wild Wasabi Cotton Twine. Love the Cotton Twine!

Hope you like!

Well, that's all I have for today!

Merry Monday Challenge # 155

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Here in Pennsylvania we had some gorgeous weather on Saturday and believe me, we took advantage of it! The doggies had grooming in the morning so while they were there we got the rocking chairs out of storage and put on the front porch and racked leaves in the back yard. We sat out and left Gigi & Bailee lay out in the sunshine in the afternoon while we did some grilling. Such a wonderful day! Today is another story, it's raining! :(

So, today we have a new challenge for you from over at Merry Monday! Sue is our hostess this week and she has a terrific challenge for us! Let's get to it!

I took the cutsy route with my Christmas card this week. I just love this cute doggy from an old Stampin Up set called Bow Wow. I colored my little doggy and added a santa hat Jolee's sticker and used red & green colors. I think I will make more of this cute card for all my dog loving friends!

Hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to see what the other ladies have created this week and play along! I'm excited to see all the cute cards in the gallery!

Thanks For Being You

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

What a surprise I had today when Mr Brown came 2 days early with my Stampin Up order that I placed last week during the FREE Shipping period!! Wasn't expecting him to arrived till Friday! Needless to say I went straight to my stamp room and ripped the box open! LOL I had a few packs of cardstock that were backordered but that's ok. I had a nice little stack of polymer stamp sets from the last few orders and todays that needed to be rubbed down with an eraser and cleaned before I could get them inky and also a couple sets that needed mounted. I got all that done and put them in their new organized spots. After that I was determined to get a card made to send my parents. In my package was a pack of the Gold Soiree DSP and I had to use it!

I made a gift card type of card so I can add a gift card in it for all their help in selling my goodies every holiday! They take the stuff out and show people then collect orders then once it's made they deliver it. So for all their hard work I thought i'd pop out and grab them a gift card to let them know I appreciate all their efforts!

Thanks For All You Do Gift Card:

Stamps: For Being You SAB 2015

Cardstock: Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe, Garden Green, Whisper White, Gold Soiree DSP

Well, that's all I have for today!
Hubby just got in from work so I need to go get supper on the table!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
