Merry Monday Challenge Week #102

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
We had quite the wash out! Constant rain from Friday night until I went to bed around 11 pm last night. Actually it ended as snow, sleet & freezing rain, an inch or 2 but we probably had about 2 inches of rain if not more. My yard looked like a lake! Today is to be sunny with temps jumping into the 50's so I hope it will melt all that yucky snow outside and let the green grass come thru. We want SPRING!

So, today we have another challenge from over at Merry Monday! Hop on over to the blog and check it out! The other Merry Maker's have created some awesome inspiration this week! Grab some supplies and play along!

For this challenge I decided to make a pocket card. I usually make a few of these type of cards every year and then I can add a gift card to these when Christmas rolls around. Pocket cards are so fun!

Merry Monday Week #102 Card:

Stamps: Very Merry Tags, Many Merry Messages
Ink: Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Season of Styles DSP
Accessories: Wide Oval Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Round Tab Punch, White Stitched Grosgrain, Gold Beads, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Hope you like!

Well, that's all for me today!
I have a very busy Monday ahead once my morning coffee kicks in!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Dynamic Duo's Challenge #95

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today i'm sharing my card for this week's Dynamic Duo's Challenge.
They have some very pretty colors this week so let's get to it!

Once again put my Six Sided Sampler set to to work! It's becoming one of my favorite stamp sets!
I seen this idea out in stamp land to line up the hexagons like this and then I added a Rich Razzleberry Button to the center. I thought it would look great in these colors! Underneath I embossed that panel with the Honeycomb EF and added some Soft Sky Grosgrain with a bow. My sentiment is from the Perfectly Penned stamp set which is stamped in Rich Razzleberry. Love the finished product!

Dynamic Duo's Challenge #95 Card:

Stamps: Six Sided Sampler, Perfectly Penned
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Soft Sky, Pale Plum
Cardstock: Neenah White, Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Hexagon Punch, Honeycomb EF, Rich Razzleberry Button, Soft Sky Grosgrain, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Sketch Challenge 481

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Today is Sketch Challenge day over at SCS and I had to play along!

Here's the sketch & my card....

Working hard on getting some Easter cards made this year! I pulled out this bunny image that was in my image box. I think it's from Whipper Snapper but I could be wrong. Colored her with my Copic Markers and pulled out some springy retired paper from the Tea Party pack. My sentiment went on a bit crooked even with the Stamp A Ma Jig but oh well. Added a Pretty in Pink bow and 4 small pearls and called it done. Hope ya like!

Stamps: Bunny from Whipper Snapper, Sentiment from Great Impressions
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers

Color Challenge 471

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Unfortunately, it's a snowy day here in PA. It's been coming down since about 9am but thankfully it's not laying. It's crazy that all my spring flowers are ready to bloom and we have snow coming down. I think I can speak for everyone by saying we hope this is our onion snow! Calling for nicer, warmer temps this weekend so I cannot wait to get out and do some yard clean up! It has taken quite a beating this winter. Anyways, I got all my chores done and headed down to my stamp table. I checked out the Color Challenge over at SCS and played along....

This week we were given a 6 colors but did not have to use all of them.
The dessert option was to use ribbon.

Basic Black, Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantalope, Pool Party, Sahara Sand & Summer Starfruit

I used all the colors plus added ribbon to make a pretty Mother's Day card.
My designer paper had all the colors in which made this very easy!

I will give this to my Mom this year along with a neat surprise which I will share closer to that time. I just love the soft pastel colors in this paper!

Color Challenge 471 Card:

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Make an Impression (inside)
Ink: Memento Black

I probably should have just stamped my star in Smokey Slate but I decided to emboss it with Silver Embossing Powder, add my sentiment, a few red rhinestones and called it done. Very quick & easy card but i'm glad I was finally able to use this pretty star! I love it!

Merry Monday Week #101 Card:

Stamps: Christmas Star, Greetings of the Season
Ink: Real Red, Versamark
Cardstock: Neenah White, Real Red

Sketch Challenge 480

Hello again!

Had a few minutes to sit and craft a bit this afternoon and decided to play along with yesterday's Sketch Challenge from over at SCS. Still trying to build up my stash of cards on the card rack so I made another Sympathy card.

Here's the sketch and my card....

I don't know why I struggled with this sketch but I did. I found in my stash an embossed piece of Summer Starfruit cardstock that fit the bill for a long rectangle that I needed for this sketch. I scrambled thru tons of DSP looking for something with Summer Starfruit in it so I could use this embossed piece. I think the DSP is a bit overwhelming but I like the outcome.

Sketch Challenge 480 Card:

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes, inside sentiment unknown
Ink: Memento Black
Cardstock: Neenah White, Summer Starfruit, Sycamore Street DSP
Accessories: Flower Garden EF, Summer Starfruit Ribbon, White Pearls, Glue Dots, Liquid Mono Adhesive

That's all for me today!
Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great day!

Anyways, I am sharing my card made for this week's Dynamic Duo's Challenge.
Here are the colors & my card....

Once again I used my Six Sided Sampler stamp set because I just love the look of this! I used my Honeycomb EF since the dessert option was to use dry embossing. I used a sentiment from the set that I hand cut. I really love the pop of black with the taffeta ribbon & bow! Hope you like my card! I'm pleased with the outcome!

Dynamic Duo's Challenge #94 Card:

Stamps: Six Sided Sampler
Ink: More Mustard, Memento Black
Cardstock: Neenah White, Whisper White, More Mustard
Accessories: Honeycomb EF, Hexagon Punch, 1/8 Black Taffeta, Dot Dots, Liquid Mono Adhesive

Well, that's all for me today!
Time to get out and enjoy the first day of spring with a nice walk with the pups!

A Special Birthday

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Had a call this morning from my Mom asking if I could make a quick little candy treat for a man that is turning 80 years old next week. Why sure! So, I made my way downstairs and grabbed my pack of Birthday Basics DSP and Cycle Celebration stamp set. I grabbed a bag of Hershey's Nuggets that I keep on hand and got to work! I wrapped 6 nuggets with the DSP and added a topper on a small cello bag. I tried making a nugget box but it was a tad too narrow to fit my nuggets in so I passed on that! Here is the outcome of the Birthday Treat.....

Took me a total of 20 minutes to make this and I really like the colors!

Birthday Treat Bag:

Stamps: Cycle Celebration
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Raspberry Ripple
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Raspberry Ripple, Whisper White
Accessories: Decorative Label Punch, Summer Starfruit Ribbon, Dimensionals, Liquid Mono Adhesive

Well, that all for me today!
Taking it easy since some of my back pain has come back. Not happy about that after a few days of being pain free but my brother did tell me not to get discouraged if the first injection doesn't work. Oh well...

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Color Challenge 470

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today is Color Challenge day over at SCS so I decided to incorporate the colors into a card for my younger brother's birthday!

Here are the colors and my card....

Midnight Muse, Baked Brown Sugar & Cherry Cobbler

I pulled out one of the very first masculine stamp sets that I ever purchased from Stampin Up!. It is called Calm Seas. I used some retired Nautical Expedition DSP and some Midnight Muse Ribbon.
I always seem to make both my brother's cards that are related to the ocean or boats. They both have ships tattooed on the top of there hands so I guess that's why I go in that direction. Neither of them hunt or are into fancy cars.  Hope he likes this!

Color Challenge 470 Card:

Stamps: Calm Seas, Four Square (sentiment), Endless Creations (inside)
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Midnight Muse
Cardstock: Neenah White, Baked Brown Sugar, Midnight Muse, Cherry Cobbler, Nautical Expedition DSP
Accessories: Stripes EF, Midnight Muse Ribbon, Liquid Mono Adheasive

Well, that's all for me today!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #100

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
I went in on Friday and had my Epidural Steroid Injection for my back issues. I'm about 85-90% pain free! Did some light cleaning around the house on Sunday & did laundry and was not bothered with my back at all!! I'm amazed! I'm still putting ice packs on my back a few times a day but all in all, i'm thrilled!

Well, since it's Monday, that means it's time for another challenge from over at Merry Monday!
This week is a special week because it's our 100th challenge but also because we took in a new Merry Maker! Stop on over to the blog and welcome our new "maker" and check out all the lovely creations the ladies whipped up!

So, let's get started....

I used a new to me stamp from Memory Box that I purchased last year. Not sure of the name but I decided to embossed my snowy trees onto Regal Rose cardstock with Winter White Embossing Powder, My patterned paper is from Kaisercraft and the sentiment is from Papertreyink. The sentiment on the inside of the card is from Stampin Up!.

Dynamic Duo's Challenge #93

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today, I am sharing my card that I made for this week's Dynamic Duo's Challenge. I needed another sympathy card for one of my sweet stamp girls. She lost her father last week and I wanted something special for her.  My heart literally hurts for her. Her & her dad were incredibly close and I wanted her to know we are thinking of her and love her very much!

Here are this week's colors & my card...

I pulled out my Upsy Daisy set and white embossing powder and embossed my pretty daisies onto my Blushing Bride cardstock. I stamped my sentiment in Sahara Sand and added my Blushing Bride Stitched Grosgrain with a bow. I layered that onto a piece of Neenah White cardstock then attached that to my Sahara Sand card base. Added 3 different sized white pearls and called it done. I hope my card brings some peace & comfort to Miss Emily. Your in our thoughts....

Sketch Challenge 479

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Snuck off to my stamp room this afternoon before the rain & thunderstorms get here!
We're in for severe thunderstorms & gusty winds but I guess that's better than 2 foot of snow. Speaking of snow, what's in my backyard is just about melted and I seen my daffodils & tulips are popping up so you have to have hope that spring is on our doorstep even though Mother Nature is saying something else.

Anyways, here is today's sketch from over at SCS and my card samples...

I just got all my St. Patrick's Day cards addressed and sent out in the mail today so now it's time to move on to Easter! This was a fun sketch for today's card. I used a bunch of old, retired stuff on this but i'm pleased with the outcome! What do you think?

Color Challenge 469

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Time for another Color Challenge from over at SCS.
Here are the colors and my samples...

Always Artichoke, Pistachio Pudding & Marina Mist

I used today's beautiful colors for a sympathy card for a neighbor that had passed away last week. I had been on the fence thinking of a nice card to send his family since we really do not know them. We lived here in Red Lion for 2 1/2 years and only met the man that passed a few times out in the yard during the summer months. We knew his health wasn't too good but towards the end of summer last year you did not see him out & about as much and with our winter being as brutal as it was, we never seen him. Last Tuesday we seen the ambulance there early in the morning and just kinda knew. Anyways, we just wanted to let his wife & family know that we are thinking of them so this is the card I made to send out today. I love these soft soothing colors!

Color Challenge 469 Card:

Stamps: Close As A Memory, Beautiful Tomorrows
Ink: Always Artichoke, Marina Mist
Cardstock: Neenah White, Pistachio Pudding
Accessories: Circle & Circle Scallop Nesties, Stamp A Ma Jig, Pistachio Pudding Taffeta, Silver Dragonfly Brad, Glue Dot, Liquid Mono

Well, that's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!
