Back quickly to share these cute treat bags I made last week. I used PTI's Lg Glassine Bags and placed a Clear Toy Pop inside it. I made a belly band with some SU's Dashing DSP. Added a quick sentiment from Hero Arts and a decorated clothes pin. These clothes pins are SOOO fun to make and add so much to a project. I added a button with some MS baker's twine tied in a bow!

A cute little stocking stuffer! I love this!! :)

Treat Bags:

Stamps: Sentiment from Hero Arts
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, GP White, SU Dashing DSP

Color Challenge 299

Hello there!

Happy Tuesday to you!!

Today is Color Challenge day over at SCS and the colors are:
Real Red, Old Olive & River Rock. Luckily I still have a pack of SU's DSP called Dashing that has all these colors in it so I went from there. I pulled out some images from Deb K. of the cute set out of the Holiday Mini called Jolly St. Nick. (Thanks Deb!) I so love that set because the images are so fun to color!

My card base is River Rock with a layer of Old Olive and a piece of Dashing DSP that was ran thru the Cuttlebug with my Snowflakes Embossing Folder. I lightly sanded it so you could see the snowflakes. I added my Santa image after I ran it thru the Cuttlebug with my Rectangle Nestibilites with a layer of Scallop Nestibilities. My Santa was colored with Copic Markers and I added some glitter to his hat. The sentiment was run thru the Cuttlebug as well with the Oval & Scallop Oval Nestibilities and added with some dimensionals over the River Rock ribbon. My bow is attached with Glue Dots. Lastly, I added 3 Red Kaiser Pearls for alittle bling. A quick and fun card to make! I'm thinking of making a treat bag to go with it if my stamp room would warm up some. It's pretty cold here today....burrrrrrr!

Color Challenge Card 299:

Stamps: Jolly St. Nick
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Real Red, Old Olive, River Rock, PTI White, Dashing DSP
Accessories: Oval & Scallop Oval and Rectangle & Scallop Rectangle Nestibilities, Snowflakes Embossing Folder, Sanding Block, Glue Pen, Ultrafine Glitter, Kaiser Red Pearls, River Rock Grosgrain, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

Well, that's all for me today!
I need to go warm up so hopefully a cup of hot chocolate will do the trick! Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!!

Mojo Monday Sketch 167 ~ Happy Birthday!

Hello again!

Wow, 2 posts in one...that doesn't happen too often!

I'm back real quick with my Mojo Monday Sketch #167. I chose the square card to make a birthday card for my son who will be 24 on Friday. This sketch was perfect for my card. My son was born with Cerebral Palsy and many health issues in his 24 years. He loves many different types of music so this Extreme Guitar player stamp came to mind to use for this. He recently moved out because he did not want to move to MO with us so this will be going out in the mail tomorrow. After 23 years I will miss having cake & ice cream for him on his special day. Oh well...I'm sure he will have a great day!

Mojo Monday Sketch 167:

Stamps: Extreme Guitar, Sentiment from PTI
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, PTI White
Accessories: Circle Nestibilities, Star Sizzix Die, Corner Punch, Silver Beads, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

Well, time to take my butt to bed for the night!

Holiday Stocking

Hello there!

Hope you all had a good Black Friday! Anyone find any great deals shopping today? I stayed put at home doing some cleaning then grabbing a nap. The only place we went today was the park to walk Fluffy. It was sorta a strange walk at that. Some young kid was walking thru the park singing swear words at the top of his lungs! Odd to say the least! hehe

Anyways, I found a few minutes to sit at my stamp table this evening to finish up this wood stocking that Vicki picked up for me at the craft store. Thank you, Vicki! Anyways, it's been laying on my table half done for the last few days because I wasn't real sure what to do with it. Tonight I added some silver cord, some punched snowflakes w/ rhinestones, a jingle bell and a punched Ornament with a rub on from last year. Now I love it!!

Holiday Stocking Details:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: SU Holiday Lounge DSP
Accessories: Ornament Punch, Merry & Bright Rub Ons, Crystal Effects, Diamond Dust, Silver Cord, Rhinestones, SU Snowflake Punch, Silver Jingle Bell, Dimensionals

Well, that's all I have for tonight! Thanks for stopping by!

Craft Show Goodie

Happy Thanksgiving, friends!

Hope you all had a wonderful day with family & friends!
It was a rough day here for us. Being 1100 miles from home and not being able to be with our families or friends put alittle bit of a damper on things. We did up our turkey and had all the goodies then decided to dig out the Christmas stuff which only hit me even harder. My heart wasn't really into decorating but for Kelsey's sake we put a few things out. She has been trying to talk me into purchasing a new Christmas tree the last week or so but I have no interest in it. Now all my dishes are washed & put away so we are sitting here watching Despicable Me and I keep drifting off. I thought i'd better get on here and get my update done before i'm completely done for the night! LOL

Below is one of the item's I made to send home for the craft show that starts Black Friday morning back in York Haven, PA. I have been doing this show since 2002 and it kills me to not be going there in the morning to help. I've always enjoyed it and have met many people through doing it. Pam~ I hope you's have a great year! I will be thinking of you's!

The container is one I picked up back before Halloween time. It was filled with candy. It's always fun to alter something!! I filled these containers with Holiday M&M's and stamped Forever Friends bears on both sides. Those bears are my fav's!! On top I added a Hero Arts tag and adhered it then put ribbon around the lid. The teddy bear has White Flower Soft added to the hat and the ground. Very cute....atleast I think so! LOL

Holiday M&M Container:

Stamps: Forever Friends Bears, Hero Arts
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Glorious Green, Real Red, GP White
Accessories: Circle & Circle Scallop Nestibilities, Martha Stewart Snowflake Punch, Green Rhinestone (Micheal's), Flower Soft & Glue, Micheal's Ribbon, Scor Tape

Well, that's all for now! I'm down for the count!
Thanks for stopping by & i'll see you Friday!

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!!

Hope you all had a great day! Mine was busy as usual. Did some baking today and got stuff ready for our dinner tomorrow. We had some really werid weather here today. It's storming right now and as we are under a tornado watch till 10 pm. We have heavy wind driven rains with thunder & lightening like i've never seen!

Since I was busy all day I put off making my Sketch Challenge card till my work was done.
Below is the layout from the Sketch Challenge 308 from over at SCS and my sample.

Align Center
Panel #4 was cut alittle shorter than the sketch called for. Don't know how I missed that! LOL
I used an old SU set that I recently got off of Ebay called Winter Wilma. Alot of coloring but I love the set! Hope ya like!

Our Home in MO....

Hello again!

I'm back real quick to share a few pictures of our house we are renting in MO. It is smaller than what we originally had but quite do able! I wish we could take this house with us back to PA when the time comes....

First pic is my stamp room in the attached garage. I like it but wish for some natural daylight! :)

This is the front of the house...You will see we have a huge yard!

The screened in room off the dining room. Looks into the 2 car garage. A feature Shawn just LOVES!! :)

Kitchen....no longer have an eat in kitchen but I do appreciate all the counter space & cabinets! :)

Dining Room looking out to the screened in room....Great feature!! :)
Yea, the wallpaper is alittle much for me but it's not my house to get rid of it...

Huge living room....we love this too! :)

Yep, I had to throw in there hubby's car club banner! He hangs it proudly in his garage!! :)

Back of house....

Back yard....

Of course, Winky with her new license plates....

Hope you enjoyed!
I'm sure eventually i'll post more after we decorate for Christmas! WooHoo!

A Mojo Monday Sketch

Happy Monday, friends!

Hope your all having a great day so far!
Here in Joplin it is raining on & off. Temps are like in the low 70's but winter will be on our doorsteps come Wednesday nite/Thursday morning. I heard snow showers in there! Yikesss! I guess it will feel very festive to sit and watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade as we usually do Thanksgiving morning then the Dog Show. :)

Today is the Mojo Monday Sketches Challenge....one I love to do each week! I'm still trying to get back into stamping and i'm struggling with sketches & colors. I get easily distracted and then lose my sense of concentration. I hope that soon stops!

Anyways, below is another Mojo Monday Sketch along with my sample.
Take a look...

I think today I struggled with getting a good picture of my cards. My stamp room which is located in an attached garage makes it difficult since there is no natural daylight. My camera takes the best pictures outside but it's been so stinkin windy here my card would be gone with the wind for sure!

Mojo Monday Sketch #166 Card:

Stamps: Bells & Boughs
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler, Kraft, Deck the Halls DSP, GP White
Accessories: Corner Punch, White Kaiser Pearls, Cherry Cobbler Ribbon, Glue Dots, Scor Tape

I'm happy to have another Christmas card made for the pile! :)

Well, that's all for me for today!
Dancing with the Stars & Cake Boss tonight! Love those shows!
Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 94~ Holly Chickadee

Happy Sunday, friends!

Hope you all had a great weekend.
I decided today to take the pludge and participate in another new to me challenge. The sketch looked pretty easy but I have to say that I struggled with it.

Here is the sketch layout & my samples:

I got this Holly Chickadee stamp at the York Stamp Show last month and have not inked it till now. It is by Impression Obsession. I love their stamps!
I used Real Red for my card base then used a layer of Old Olive and white under the mail image. The white piece is embossed with Cuttlebug's Holly Branch Folder which I purchased last year and never used. I love it but hated that most of it is covered up. I colored my image with Copic Markers. Cut it out with Circle Nestibilities and added some red pearls from Kaiser. The Old Olive & Real Red pieces are punched with SU's Scallop Trim Border Punch. I don't know what it is about that punch but I love it! :) Lastly I added some 5/8 in Old Olive Grosgrain with a flat bow. I'm not real wild on my card but it's growing on me.

Well, hubby is in the kitchen making Apple Crisp for snack and i'm sitting here watching the AMA's and wishing they'd bring Bon Jovi back on stage! LOL Weren't they good?? :)
So, that's all for me tonight! Thanks for stopping by!
~Wendy

Sketch Challenge 307

Hello!!

Hope you all had a great day! I know I did! I tried to go to bed with the hubby earlier tonight and I just could not sleep. A friend came over to stamp and I was just in awe of her cute little gingerbread die she just got....and to top it off she left me borrow him!! :) Most people know I have a gingerbread fetish! LOL I don't like gingerbread cake or cookies but just the little gingerbread guys in general. Anywho, I was so keyed up from my afternoon with her that I just needed to go stamp some more! hehe

Since I did not get a chance to participate in today's Sketch Challenge over at SCS...I did print out the sketch to do at a later time. I went to bed with that on my mind and it finally got the best of me and out of bed I went! LOL
Below is the sketch layout and my card samples.....

Now I have to say that I have had my eye on this very old SU stamp set on Ebay for quite sometime. This past Sunday I finally took the plunge and went for it. Guess what....I WON!! LOL

Anyways, I got right to work on today's Color Challenge from over at SCS. The colors today are: Perfect Plum, Baja Breeze and Pear Pizzazz. I don't have Pear Pizzazz so I substituted it with Certainly Celery. Take a look....

Mojo Monday Sketch 165

Happy Monday, everyone!

Hope you all had a super weekend! I know I did but it flew by so quickly!

Today, I got up early and hit my stamp room to work on a card order and then participated in todays Mojo Monday Sketches. I love doing their sketches!

Below is the layout and my card samples...
Take a look :)

I wanted to use this angel from the SU set called Angelic Joy from the Holiday Mini. I really like this set!! I had to flip the sketch the be able to use the angel though. It came together beautifully and I just love this card!! :)

Mojo Monday Sketches #165:

Stamps: Angelic Joy
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Kraft, PTI Vanilla, Deck the Halls DSP
Accessories: SU Scallop Trim Border Punch, Lg Oval & Scallop Oval Punch, Chantilly Ribbon, Antique Brads, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

So, today Fluffy had her first appointment with a new groomer out here in Joplin. We said she was in doggie daycare all day because Shawn dropped her off on his way to school this morning then picked her up on his way home. She looked ohhh so cute with the little bows in her ears but boy was she ever mad at us! Not sure if she didn't like the groomer or just being in doggie daycare all day but she was not a happy camper!

Well, that's all from me for now!
Thanks for stopping by & have a good evening!
~Wendy
