With Heartfelt Sympathy Card Set

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope your all doing well.

I'm a bit off schedule this week. Started my week with the dreaded house cleaning chore that lasted Monday & Tuesday. Wednesday, I finally found my way downstairs to stamp a bit. I was starting to work on a few Halloween things then got side tracked. Today I am in slow mode. My back is giving me some grief after 2 days of housework and tons of laundry. I haven't complained too much about it because it is what it is!

Today Kelsey is leaving for Pittsburgh and no....she's not going to see the Steelers! Haha!
She and a friend are taking the train to Pittsburgh to see a friend that lives out there now and they are going to a Shawn Mendes concert which I believe is over the weekend. Lucky her! His music has grown on me over the last year or 2 and as much as I hate to admit it...I like it!  She has been planning this trip for over a year so I know she's excited!

I have 2 chores to do today.....mopping the family room, stamp room & bathroom downstairs and then doing 2 loads of laundry before this evening. Football is on again tonight! I can hardly wait! I have been working on getting the Ravens Room (my family room) up to snuff. Got all kinds of neat things for football season to put down there! 2 winters ago I started working on a 1000 piece puzzle of the M&T Bank Stadium where the Ravens play. My hubby built a frame so we could hang it on the wall down there. Plus here & there we 've been picking up knicknacks to put in our room. Now all I need to do is find some purple furniture! LOL No, but wouldn't that be funny!

So enough on that bout some stamping!

Here is a set of cards I created for a customer.

I pulled out this pack of DSP that has so many pretty prints & patterns in it but sadly it is retired. I believe the name of it is Succulent Garden DSP. My customer said she recently sent out 6 Sympathy cards in one day all to the same family so she was desperate for more Sympathy cards. She really liked these with that diecut flower and pearl on! She too is a sucker for lots of bling! My kinda girl!

With Heartfelt Sympathy Card Set:

Stamps: Close As A Memory (sentiment)
Ink: Sweet Sugarplum
Cardstock: Sweet Sugarplum, Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, Succulent Garden DSP
Accessories: Flourish Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, White Pearls, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love that piece of Sweet Sugarplum Gingham on the card. I wish Stampin Up carried more Gingham DSP in other colors! I am a sucker for Plaids & Ginghams!
Anyone else?

My thoughts today.....

Well, that is all for me!
Lots to get too today so I better close this out!

Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a wonderful day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello & Happy Friday!

Today I headed to my stamp table after wracking my brain all week trying to come up with an idea to create a card for this week's Tuesday Morning Sketches.
I have to tell you that I struggled with one!
I had such a mess on my table for about 2 hours until something finally fell into place.

Here is this week's sketch and my card.

I had it in my mind to use a Martha Stewart Corner & Border punches that had been sitting on my shelf collecting dust. That part went really well....the part I struggled with was the swirl and the flowers. Guess I was just off today or something. I am happy with the way it turned out though!

Happy Birthday Card:

Stamps: Special Celebrations
Ink: Flirty Flamingo
Cardstock: Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Accessories: Support Ribbon Framelits, Martha Stewart Corner & Border Punches, Sizzix Swirls Die (retired), Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

If you get a chance stop by the Tuesday Morning Sketches and play along!
They have great sketches every Tuesday!

My thoughts today....

That's all I have for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Basket of Wishes

Hello & Happy Thursday!

It's a great day!

Why you ask?

Tonight is the Baltimore Ravens 1st preseason game!
I am so excited....I can hardly contain my excitement! LOL
It's been a long winter, spring & summer and i'm ready for football season!
And with football season starting up it will bring Fall weather soon.
This past week we had some beautiful cool weather and i'm looking forward to cooler days ahead!

My card today is one that makes me love the Fall season.

This last picture has Clear Wink of Stella on the sunflower petals but unfortunately the camera did not pick it up.

I stamped my image in Memento Black and colored this image with Copics.

Basket of Wishes Card:

Stamps: Basket of Wishes

Cardstock: Early Espresso, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Into the Woods DSP (retired)

I thought this card would make a nice birthday card for a few birthdays that are on my list.
I just love the sunflowers!

My thoughts today....

Can you tell I am excited?
I have 3 Ravens flags out and i'm dressed in purple today!

That's all for me!

With Sympathy

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

My hubby did not get home last night until well after 9 pm so I spent most of the afternoon & evening down at my stamp table. It was quite peaceful and our weather could not be any nicer!
The windows will be open again today bringing in comfortable temps & some fresh air! I love this kind of weather...too bad my hubby worked late last night or we could have gone for a nice walk. I wasn't going to suggest a bike ride after Sunday's 15 mile excursion! LOL

Anyways, my customer called me yesterday and wouldn't you know it.....she ordered more cards!
So here is one set of Sympathy cards she requested.

Have I said how much I LOVE this package of DSP??!!!
It is beautiful and has so many pretty prints!
I picked this one because I was able to use some Tranquil Tide cardstock, ink & ribbon!!
Yippeee Skipppee!!!

I wasn't quite sure what flower to use so I pulled out my Flower Shop stamp set and inked my stamp in Tranquil Tide and stamped it on a scrap of Pool Party and I loved the look of it!
My sentiment is from the Flourishing Phrases set and I stamped that in Tranquil Tide onto a piece of Whisper White that was diecut with the Lots of Labels Framelits. I added one small rhinestone to the sentiment and added my yummy ribbon which has a loose knot in it and wrapped it around the side of my Pool Party & DSP layers then glued it all together.

With Sympathy Card Set:

Stamps: Flourishing Phrases, Flower Shop
Ink: Tranquil Tide
Cardstock: Tranquil Tide, Pool Party, Whisper White, Whole Lot of Lovely DSP
Accessories: Pansy Punch, Lots of Labels Framelits, Tranquil Tide Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Can you say LOVE??!!

My thoughts today...

All my favorite things!

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a great day!

Pocketful of Sunshine

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today I have a quick card to share that I made to have on hand for when an unexpected birthday pops up! I used the Pocketful of Sunshine bundle for this one. Not really sure I like it as I was just playing around with it but thought i'd still share it.

When I looked at the pocket die all I could vision is this being stamped on Dapper Denim to look like denim so that is that color my card took on. The DSP is from last year and since it is 12 X 12 I have a bunch left. This is a really cute stamp set that I want to get alot more use out of in the future because I love that pocket plus there is a pair of sunglasses in this set as well. Love, love, love!

Pocketful of Sunshine Card:

Stamps: Pocketful of Sunshine
Ink: Dapper Denim
Cardstock: Dapper Denim, Peekaboo Peach, Whisper White, 12 X 12 InColor DSP (retired)
Accessories: Pocket Framelits, Support Ribbon Framelits (flower), Rhinestones, 2 Sided Tape, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The best thing about this card is the fact that you can tuck a gift card or a few dollars into the pocket as a gift! Such a neat idea don't ya think?

My thoughts today....

Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a great day!

Blue Hydrangea Card Set

Hello & Happy Monday!

Phew, what a whirlwind of a weekend!
Saturday was fun meeting up with a friend & her husband and yesterday my hubby & I took what was suppose to be a quick bike ride on the Rail Trail. Our ride turned out to be 15 miles to the Glen Rock Library and back! Yea, today I am sore and in slow mode!

I did manage late this afternoon to go downstairs and work on a pack of cards for my customer. It rained all day today which made for a great stamping day!

Here is the card set made for my customer.
She requested flowers with no saying.

I used Thoughtful Branches stamp set and the Beautiful Branches Thinlits to create these. Sadly, this set retired as fast as it came out and i'm not sure why when it's a great set! I have seen so many different things made with it and today I decided to try to create a hydrangea. My hydrangea has finally bloomed this summer and it's beautiful! The color is a mix of purple & blue but for my hydrangea on my card set I made them in Marina Mist.

Blue Hydrangea Card Set:

Stamps: Thoughtful Branches (retired)
Ink: Marina Mist
Cardstock: Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Accessories: Beautiful Branches Thinlits, Brick Wall Embossing Folder, Oval Nestibilities, Marina Mist 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

For me, it was hard not to put a sentiment on this but this is what my customer wants and i'm happy to oblige. I may just make myself some of these for different occasions!

What do you think?

My thoughts today....

I love a rainy day here & there and today we certainly had some good rain!
I bet all the gardens and yards enjoyed it muchly!

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

God Bless You Card Set

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your all enjoying the weekend!
Yesterday was beautiful and we spent the day in Lancaster County with some friends.
While my intent was to do some supply shopping at L&L Stamps in Ephrata, PA.,I found out quickly she was closed once we got there. Then we headed off for some lunch at a cafe at Shady Maple which was pretty darn good! Plus we ate with friends which made it all the more special!
After lunch we headed to the Flower & Craft Warehouse and to my surprise I found some amazing things in the Scrapbooking area! Since I was bummed that L&L was closed, the Flower & Craft Warehouse made up for my sadness! Needless to say my friend, Mary Anne & I had a wonderful time shopping & chatting and ended our day with a hug before we both headed home with full bellies and a bag of fun stamping goodies! This hobby has brought so many wonderful stamping friends into my life over the years and it's always fun to meet up with them!

So today I have a set of cards made for my really great customer who ordered cards for her grandson. She writes to him on a regular basis while he is stationed in Georgia and requested a pack of cards with the American flag on it and God Bless You. I always try my best to fulfill her requests.

This set was a bit of a toughie and I hope she will like these as it's a bit different than what she asked for. She wanted a certain paper which I am out of and she wanted me to use the God Bless America stamp that Stampin Up brought out in 2001 when the Trade Towers in New York City came down. I instead used a different American flag stamp from the Star Spangled Banner (retired) set. There are words on this particular stamp so I just used my Stampin Write Markers to ink up what I wanted, stamped it and cut just the flag out. My sentiment panel is stamped with God Bless You which comes from the Crosses of Hope (retired) set and then it was cut out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. My piece of patterned paper is from Pebbles and is diecut with the Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangle Dies. Lastly I attached my flag with Mini Dimensionals and attached the star with a glue dot. I hope she will like these. I love the patterned paper and the Red, White & Blue!

God Bless You Card Set:

Stamps: Star Spangled Banner (retired), Crosses of Hope (retired)
Ink: Night of Navy, Real Red & Night of Navy Stampin Write Markers
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Peebles DSP, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangle Dies, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Small Star Punch, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My thoughts today...

That is all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a great day!

You're In My Thoughts

Hello & Happy Friday!

Hope your all staying cool out there!
Today I think is the worst day so far! High temperatures with high humidity equals BLAH!
I have been hibernating inside playing around at my stamp table.
Today I worked on a pack of cards for my customer.

I wanted something summery for this set of cards because I know my customer uses these for many different occasions. I pulled out this Delightful Daisy DSP to go with my Daisy Delight stamp set. This is a super popular bundle in the new Stampin Up annual catalog! So popular that they are having a hard time keeping it in stock! I think it makes the most beautiful cards!

You're In My Thoughts Card Set:

Stamps: Best Thoughts (retired saying), Daisy Delight
Ink: Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight
Cardstock: Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Delightful Daisy DSP
Accessories: Daisy Punch, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My thoughts today...

Yes indeed! It's Friday!

Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a wonderful day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your all doing well.
As I type this we are in the midst of a heavy thunderstorm! It has been thundering here since around noon but the skies have finally left loose!
I am down in my stamp room with the tv cranked up so it kinda blocks out the thunder but i'm sure Gigi still hears it. I decided today to get some stamping in and played along with the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge.

Here is the layout and my card.

I used some new Foil Frenzy Specialty DSP on this and that made it hard to photograph. All the little dots on the kraft paper are Soft Sky foil that are very pretty!
I also used the coordinating stamp set, Happy Birthday, Gorgeous!
I flipped the sketch since my cardbase was already cut and ready to go.

Happy Birthday Card:

Stamps: Happy Birthday, Gorgeous
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sky, Crumb Cake
Cardstock: Soft Sky, Whisper White, Foil Frenzy DSP
Accessories: Corrugated Elements, Rhinestones, Soft Sky Stitched Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Mono Adhesive

This was a nice sketch and I enjoyed playing along!

My thoughts today...

Sure wish these storms would cool things down but no such luck.

Hope your all staying cool wherever you are!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Merriest of Wishes

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope everyone is doing well.
I got some stamping in on Friday & Saturday since it rained and boy, did it ever rain!
Thankfully it brought some nice weather for a day or 2 but now we are back to the hot & humid stuff.

Today I have a set of cards I made for Christmas using the Lovely As A Tree stamp set.
Take a look...

Do you know this stamp set is the longest running stamp set that Stampin Up has had out?
Unfortunately I do not own it and borrowed it from a friend. It makes some very pretty cards for almost any occasion!

Merriest of Wishes Card Set:

Stamps: Lovely As A Tree, Merriest Wishes (retired 2016)
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, Whisper White
Accessories: Softly Falling EF, Large Oval & Scallop Oval Punches, Silver Ribbon ( retired SAB 2017), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I'm slowly trying to get some Christmas cards made but it's tough to think about the holidays when it's 80 & 90 degrees outside! It's safe to say that I am ready for some Fall weather! Who's with me?

My thoughts today...

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a great day!
